Training Session -- Back to the Basics: Finding AOD information on the Internet

This training session will provide an overview of basic Internet resources and tools to find AOD information, with an emphasis on skill-building for beginners and those who want to brush up basic skills. The session will cover:

·Listservs: How to Ask a Question and Get the Answer You Need on SALIS-L and other AOD Lists.
·   Online databases: What you need to do before you begin searching (and other tips and tricks of the trade).
·   Web search engines and directories, including a comparison of selected web search tools.
Presenters: Nancy Sutherland, Andrea Mitchell, Samantha Helfert.
