SALIS (Substance Abuse Librarians & Information Specialists) is an international association of individuals and organizations with special interests in the exchange and dissemination of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) information.

Save the Date! SALIS will meet in Reno, Nevada on May 22-25, 2012

Reno at night Stephanie Asteriadis and Marie Tully of the Nevada Prevention Resource Center will host the 34th Annual SALIS Conference at the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The theme of the conference is "Stepping Out of Our Silos: Creating Partnerships, Building Capacity, Delivering Information." The conference itself will be held on the university campus; attendees will stay at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino, a landmark hotel in downtown Reno.

SALIS Affiliations with Online Booksellers

Our affiliation with Amazon.com is back! Amazon settled its dispute with the state of California regarding tax collection on online purchases, and thereby restored the affiliates who were based in California -- including SALIS. We still have affiliations with Barnes & Noble.com and Hazelden.
