SALIS membership is open to all those with an interest
in the collection, organization, management, and dissemination
of substance abuse information. Full, Associate, and ELISAD
memberships are offered for individuals, while Institutional
memberships may be in the name of an organization or an
individual. SALIS members fill diverse professional roles
in the field of substance abuse information, representing:

Membership Types*
Full
Benefits include: an annual subscription to SALIS News
and the SALIS listserv; mailings from NIDA, NIAAA,
the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information
(NCADI), and the White House Office of Drug Control Policy
(ONDCP); member rate at the Annual
Conference; and opportunities for SALIS-sponsored attendance

A one-year subscription to Manisses’ Addiction
Professional is available for an additional $7.00

Institutional
This category is open only to individuals or organizations
from developing or lesser-developed countries as identified
by the United Nations. Only one person per membership is
eligible for benefits, which are the same as those for Full
Members. U.S. $30
Elisad
Full membership at a reduced rate is available to European
members of our sister organization, the European Association
of Libraries and Information Services on Alcohol and other
Drugs (Elisad). Likewise, Elisad offers a discounted
membership to SALIS members. U.S. $67 (with

* SALIS membership applications are handled through
the SALIS Home Office in Berkeley, California. SALIS membership
is on a calendar year.
Members joining after the first quarter of a year should contact SALIS Home (510-597-3440; salis@salis.org ) for prorated membership fees. Renewal checks must be received by January 15 to receive the discounted rate for Addiction Professional or to remain on the SALIS-L listserv.
